Research Conversazione 2014

Information for students participating in the 2014 Research Conversazione

The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies Research Conversazione is an annual event giving students the opportunity to showcase their research project work in poster format to industry representatives. The aim of the event is to bring industry and students together. It is a very successful event which attracts more than 200 people each year and provides students with the opportunity to network and share their work with industry.

All RESEARCH POSTGRADUATE (PhD/MPhil) and MIT/MITM 18 CREDIT POINT PROJECT students are invited and encouraged to participate in the event.

All HONOURS students are required to participate in the event.

Event details

Date: Friday, 31 October 2014
Time: 1:15pm to 4:30pm
Location: School of IT Building


There will be industry sponsored prizes (AU$500 each) awarded on the day. To be eligible for a prize, you must submit a poster and be present on Conversazione day, 31 October 2014.

Register to participate

If you would like to participate in the event, please email Josephine Spongberg by FRIDAY 26 SEPTEMBER. Please provide the following details in your email:

  1. Your first and last name
  2. Your email address (please check this email address regularly)
  3. Your poster’s title
  4. Your supervisor's name
  5. Indicate if you are a PhD/MPhil, Honours or MIT/MITM student

Poster submission dates

ALL posters need to be submitted by: NOON on MONDAY 13 OCTOBER. Please send your poster in PDF format to Josephine Spongberg. Please save your file using the naming convention SURNAME-Firstname.pdf.

Poster template

Students must use the Faculty poster template. All poster submissions must strictly adhere to template format, with minimal changes to the layout, colours or fonts. Please email Josephine Spongberg if you need a copy of the poster template.

Also, it is important to have your poster checked for spelling mistakes and content by your supervisor before submission. Once the poster is printed no changes can be made.
